No. The callout is free in the local area, so you only pay for the work we do. There are a couple of exceptions for far outer suburbs and some after hours jobs, and we tell you on the phone before you book rather than at the end.
Usually the same day. Our plumbers work right across Melbourne so there’s generally a van nearby. When you ring, we’ll give you a real window rather than “sometime this afternoon”. Emergencies go to the front of the queue.
Yes. You get a written quote before anyone picks up a tool, and that’s the price you pay. If we open something up and find a bigger problem, we stop, show you, and requote. Nothing happens that you haven’t agreed to.
Every plumber on our team holds a Victorian plumbing licence, and our gas work is done by licensed gasfitters. We carry full public liability insurance on every job. Ask for our licence number any time and we’ll give it to you.
Yes, and a person answers rather than a machine. Burst pipes, sewage backing up and gas leaks don’t wait for business hours. If you’re not sure whether yours is urgent, ring and we’ll tell you honestly whether it can wait until morning.
Water you can’t shut off, sewage coming back up into the house, a gas smell, or losing your only toilet or hot water in a household with kids or elderly people. A dripping tap or a slow drain can wait. If you smell gas, leave the house and call us from outside.
After hours and public holiday work carries a higher rate, which is standard across the trade. We tell you the rate on the phone before we book you in, so you can decide whether it’s worth waiting until morning. We’ll never quietly add it to the invoice.
As the property owner, you’re responsible for the pipes on your property up to the connection point at the boundary. Your water authority, meaning Yarra Valley Water, South East Water or Greater Western Water depending on where you live, looks after the main sewer past that point. If several properties are affected it’s likely theirs. We can identify which side of the boundary the problem sits on and tell you straight.
Pension and Seniors Card holders get 10% off the job. Mention it when you book and it’s already in the quote you approve. No forms, no asking twice.
The whole Melbourne metro area, from the Mornington Peninsula through to the CBD and out past Werribee. Our plumbers live in the suburbs they work in. If you’re not sure you’re in range, ring and ask rather than guessing.
Someone over 18 needs to be there to show us the problem and approve the quote. It doesn’t have to be you. If you’re arranging it for a tenant or a parent, just tell us who’ll be on site and make sure they can reach you to approve the price.
Yes, regularly. We can liaise directly with the tenant to arrange access, send the invoice to you or the agency, and provide compliance documentation where it’s needed. Tell us the arrangement when you book and we’ll work to it.
Most jobs are done in one visit. A blockage or a tap is typically one to two hours, a hot water swap two to three. Bigger work like pipe relining or a system change takes longer. We’ll tell you the likely timeframe when we quote, not after.
Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed, and parts and appliances carry the manufacturer’s warranty on top. If something we did isn’t right, ring us and we’ll come back and sort it.
We take card and bank transfer, and payment is due on completion. For larger jobs we’ll talk through how it’s structured before we start. If you need an invoice for insurance, a landlord or a strata claim, tell us and we’ll itemise it properly.
